Introduction
Well, what can I say about myself. My name is Monique. I happened to be a mother to two precious children and amazing wife. I work full-time and I'm currently going to school full-time to get my degree in Computer Animation. Yes, it's right Computer Animation. I always love animation. Something about bringing characters to life is absolutely amazing to me. I remember what really sealed the deal for me was watching Pixar's Toy Story. Seeing how the characters came to life was truly incredible. I knew I wanted to do that. I wanted to bring that type of joy to the big screen just like what I felt when watching the movie.
Right now I'm starting the process. As stated before I'm in the Computer Animation degree at Full Sail University. It's a great program and not for the faint of heart. It's very demanding and it's something you have a passion for it. I have to honestly admit I feel like quitting. I started out with a 4.0 GPA but as I get further into the program it seems like my grades aren't fairing so well. I'm starting to get really frustrated because I know I can do this but my mind is fighting. The Maya classes are very hard and time consuming. You must manage your time well in order to get everything done not to mention if you have a family and have to work. But I was reminded today by my favorite Actress, Audrey Hepburn, "Impossible, the word itself says I'm possible!" This is going to be my new motto. I need to start believing in myself and my abilities. Also not to be afraid to ask for help.
